RoboResponder™ Overview

The RoboResponder™ was designed to relentlessly and reliably patrol a facility recording the status of the building along its route. Image snapshots of areas of interest are automatically saved and exported in a report format. An operator can monitor the activity of the robot via PC software as well as control the robot and PTZ camera manually if desired.

In addition to the high resolution camera, many sensors and RF-ID devices typically used in security applications are incorporated into the robot's payload. Hazardous gases, smoke, radiation, active and passive asset location tags, card readers, etc. can be employed to allow the RoboResponder™ to report extra-sensory information.

RoboResponder™ Operational Description

Either by event trigger or on a schedule, the RoboResponder™ will execute a pre-planned (sequential) or random patrol tour. Events triggered by the alarm or access control system can automatically dispatch the robot to the affected area. The RoboResponder™ will automatically return to its charging dock when not in use

Verbal announcements and other sounds (bells, chimes, music, etc) are used by the robot to alert people to its presence and intentions. "I am going back to my dock", "Please identify youself" are just some of the phrases used.

As obstacles present themselves during a route, the robot quickly re-plans the path or stops and waits for the obstacle to clear. Doors and elevators can be operated wirelessly when needed.

Any industry standard access card, biometric, keypad, RF-id tag, or touch technology can be integrated into the robot' s configurable user interface.
